World Egg Day.

A place of protein and loaded with 13 different vitamins and minerals, omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants, eggs are a popular breakfast for no reason. Health research shows that eating eggs for breakfast helps to maintain your blood sugar and insulin levels.

Both the egg white and yolk are rich in nutrients, including proteins, vitamins and minerals. The yolk contains fat-soluble vitamins : such as vitamins D and E and essential fatty acids; while most of the protein is found in the egg white.

Eggs are also abundant in vitamin A, which important for a clear vision. Specially the yolks part contain vitamin A, lutein, zeaxanthin, and zinc, which are all vital to eye health.

People can get very sick by eating raw eggs because of the contamination of Salmonella. Older adults, pregnant women, infants should avoid eating raw eggs or foods containing raw eggs.
